Hi, did anyone receive news of a scholarship? The NUS website says the outcome of the scholarships will be released at the time of admission.

Hey,
No. My offer letter states as below:
Admission and scholarship decisions are made without reference to financial need. Successful scholarship applicants will be informed separately. If you do not receive a separate email to inform you of your scholarship award by mid-April, this means your offer does not come with a scholarship award.
I have been writing to them but of no avail though.

Quite a few people have been offered admission with scholarships already; so may be the ones that are being offered admission now won't be getting any. Thats disappointing.

I'm not sure if this is the case, though, because some alumni who I am in touch with received scholarships in the first/second week of May last year (and the year before that) when their offers were rolled out in mid to late April. The instructions on the NUS website haven't changed regarding scholarships, either. I think we should just wait it out before concluding. They'll probably tell us that if we don't hear back from them within a certain cut-off date, we should assume that we are ineligible to receive a scholarship. Either way, we will know for certain by the end of May, which is when we will probably have to make the payment of tuition fees anyway.

I think we all should wait and be patient about the offers/rejections. NUS is usually slow in processing applications so I wouldn't be surprised that they'll be sending offers until the end o this month. Regarding scholarships, the results don't arrive until May.

LLM (CFSL) OR LLM (IBL)? Confused.

I wrote to NUS regarding scholarships and they replied "Scholarship awards have been released. If you do not receive an email to inform you of scholarship award, it means that you are unsuccessful. We hope you are able to seek financing alternatives from your home country."
Any update? is this true?

No idea. Most of us haven't even heard back on admission decisions, so I'm not sure if we stand a chance at financial aid from the university.

As the previous person before me has pointed out, most of us are still waiting to know about the status of our applications. If that mail is true, then I guess all of us waiting, including those who’ve applied for scholarships should take it as a NO.
Anyway, few more days to go for the end of April. Let’s hope we hear back soon.
