Any idea about the job prospects for ppl who do their LLM from NUS? I am asking about the job prospects in Singapore itself. Do we need to qualify some bar exam there in order to get a job? Also as I am an Indian student, what would be the job oppurtunities in India? How big is NUS as a brand name in India?

Hi Adi,
Although, I do not have first hand information regarding your query, I could suggest that you go through a plethora of posts on another thread regarding NYU@NUS programme. Though the job prospects seem vibrant, we practically do not have live examples yet as the first batch of the course which commenced in May this year will end in ten months. I liked the programme immensely merely for the fact that it's a good bargain to have two LLMs under your belt within ten months. However, the hitch is the money and the employment oppourtunities post the completion of the course. What sounds promising to me is:
1. NUS carries weightage in India as its a renowned university. I have had friends doing LLM from there.
2. NYU college has an international repute.
What I personally understand of it is that it would be an eclectical mix of American-Asian laws, benefiting us with a macro view of both sides of the coin.
I am from Bangalore, India, and eventually looking forward to be here, thereby pondering over what would be the best. I have been browsing certain programmes across UK as well. I want to choose either Business laws or Intellectual Property Laws because as per my understanding these will have an excellent scope in our country than any other subjects and will be evergreen showing green signals to us :)
Please be in touch as we could exchange information and be of help to each other.
Many thanks..
