Hi!
I'm still a law student (undergraduate level) from India and I'm really confused about the relevance of moot courts. While I'm very sure that I don't want to make a future for myself in litigation and would ONLY like to enter the corporate field or work for a law firm (Arbitration), I always get contradictory opinions on my confusion for moot courts.
I'm good at speaking (I participate in national level debates and discussions) and very much into researching (for contributions in law journals etc.) With a profile like this, would it hamper my prospects of admission for an LLM course in Hong Kong or Singapore? Please advise me, I'm really in a fix!
How relevant are Moot Court competitions???

Hi Pri.lawyer
I am not sure i understand u correctly. r u saying that the fact that u may not participate in moot court hamper ur chances? But i'm confused as to why u would not want to enter into moot court competition if u have the qualities of good debating and researching????
Alas! Each to his/her own- i will not meddle, but just curious.>
I personally believe that moot court gives u an edge as it is an extracirricular activity but it is also related to ur studies (2 birds...)
But i hardly think that the fact that u have not participated in a moot court will harm u chances to get into a college u want.
But then again it is my personal opinion.
Hope i understood ur Q correctly, and also that it helps!
Good Luck!
