Estimated Cost of Living

Hey All...

Just checking the NUS website for the estimated costs of living...unfortunately the estimates given are for Jan 2003!!
Given that i'm taking a loan, it would be really helpful if someone could share info on more recent estimated costs of living!! It would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

See u all soon at NUS!

Hey Sumana, I'm Dinda from Indonesia. Since I knew that I'm admitted in NUS, I started browsing the info on the living costs there. So, I got the info from the Indonesian community in S'pore that the living costs, especially for student, is about S$700-S$1,200 per month depends on the individual's life style of course. You can rent an affordable room, which price varies around S$300-450. For transportation, it may cost you around S$100, for food expenses I make estimated budget for S$200 ish. They also suggest me that I should eat at NUS cafetaria or Hawker Center, since it's cheaper :) Hope this helps! and c u soon...
