Hey friends,
I will be very honest so that I am advised correctly as only heaven knows I need it badly!
I am in my final year of law school in India, and till now I have ranked 2nd in my class.I have interned as a legal editor, with a human activist lawyer who is quite famous, with a Supreme Court lawyer of good standing, with the National Human Rights Commission and right now interning with a respectable law firm in the capital of India.
I have till now got nothing published, though am racing against time to get something in print within 2 months so that I can add it up on my CV.My resources are something that are available but as someone responsible I would like to use them efficiently.
I wish to apply in some of the good universities in US and UK for my masters in commercial law, though frankly right now I dont have much clue as to what all is included in it but corporate law interests me.But I dont want to delay my LLM because I may not end up with a good job right away considering that I dont have much 'contacts' which you require to land up a good job here and neither am I out from the top ten law schools in India.
So an LLM sounds like a good option to me right now.I know I will do my best to get through.Just need to know if I am thinking straight or this move may take me down the drain??
I know I sound a little gloomy...but i dont know what to do...i want to take the plunge and get to it...but will it be the right decision?i wonder...
