Now now moep, no need for name calling, assuming Prateesh's post is a serious one, and not a joke. As for Prateesh's question, the 60% is a bit out of context. In the US, generally speaking, 60% would be in the D range (100-90 (A), 89-80 (B), 79-70 (C), 69-60 (D)), which is pretty abysmal. Of course, a 60% could also be in the A-B range, if the average is in the 40% range. The 60% would then be scaled. So, assuming you are asking a serious question, you have to provide a bit more context. Where does a 60% average place you? Are you in the top 25% of your graduating class? Top 50%? You get my point. Admission to good LL.M. programs is not as difficult as admission to a J.D. program. In other words, it is a lot more difficult to get into let's say Georgetown's J.D. program than it is to get into its LL.M. program. The competition for JD programs is a lot more stiff, as there are, generally, a lot more applicants. That being said, you still need to have solid grades if you wish to get into a top program. I think your chances are not great if you are floating at the bottom of your class with a D average.
