Well, I can't help you on job prospectives, but I can tell I had the best impression of UIUC, and applied for their LL.M program among others. I know it is a very strong university in technology, and recently it's been investing a lot in Law School as well (including roadshows to promote their LLM program - I have attended to one session in Brazil). The law school is well ranked (Tier 1 - n.27 in US News ranking) and the admissions staff is really kind, accessible and helpful. Tuition is lower than other top schools and I could feel the sense of community is amazing there. So, it should be a good option to you.

How is the UIUC college of law? Is it a good idea to LLM from there, especially with a view of getting a job?
Thanx
I would like to tell you that U o I is extremely good university.
Strong faculty, especially in Criminal law and procedure, business law, law and economics, and law and philosophy, and tax law.
Faculty has a open door policy, so it is very easy to look for your Professor to learn more about law.
Campus is huge and pretty. Also has 2 fitness center.
The tuition fee is OK.
Although, it is still expensive.
but campus downtown has everything you need to live and eat.
I highly recommend you to apply.
About the ranking, I also see there are other ranking to rank it as 19, while the us news ranks it as 27.
It worth of you to give it a shot.

Hi applicant of law, thank you so much for replying. Ya I did hear about the good faculty and the great facilities. Can you tell what are job prospects after doing an LLM from UIUC?
Hi
About job prospects, the new Dean for International Study Office helps LLMstudents a lot with the internship, Global Fellowship, and NY job Fair. But, it is not of my interest, I may not be able to tell you too much in formation about this. I am sure you can write to International Study Office for a further inquiry before you make a decision.
Of Course, I heard a LLM graduate of last year finds job in NY. That is all I can say for right now, sorry.
Wish you good luck.
