UF Tax Request for Reconsideration? Did anyone get in by reconsideration? Maybe someone already in Gainesville can help?

Just received letter in mail today denying admittance but stating I can submit a Request for Reconsideration. If this is similar to a Motion to Reconsider, Judges never change their minds unless some great case law just changed legal precendent. I don't know what would or could change the committees' minds. Maybe someone out there can help?

Florida is a Sh*thole school. You are not missing out. You are better off going to clown trade school.

Im actually not upset at all. I got dinged by a few T25 schools when i was applying to law school, but got into a T14 school. Am I upset at the lower ranked schools? Of course not. As far as where I am going to attend; its more a question of if I am going to pursue my Tax LLM this year. I simply havent decided. I sent in my deposit to two schools, but am still debating whether I want to attend. I just find it laughable that I didnt get into U of F when i was in the top 25% of my class at a T14, when i know that their standards arent that high. I also worked at a V25 firm.

It's strange that you didn't get in with your credentials.
But I know this guy who applied to 10 schools for a J.D. program. He got rejected by 9 schools. The only school which admitted him is Harvard Law School.
What is your plan B if you decide not to enter your LL.M. program this year?
Anyway, you do sound a little upset. :)
(and you went to GU, not GW, it seems.)
