U Chicago LLM- 2022

Van 2022

Hi guys, good luck everyone!

Uchicago's LL.M. size would be 70~80, right?

Then, is there anyone who knows how many candidates would be offered admission on the first decision date (maybe 15th Feb.) ?

This is because the school must consider that some admitted candidates choose other schools such as HLS.

There was an information leak back in 2019 or 2020 and according to the file there were around 3~400 peple who got adimitted in the first round I believe. You can search past threads for more details. I know this because my friend had applied to Chicago back then.

Status checker website is quite unstable today, sometimes I'm unable to log in. Is it because many people are checking it or because UChicago is onto something? 1f600

The status checker runs on LSAC's servers. The status checkers for other schools are unstable today as well.

If it follows the same pattern, then there's still some time to go. What is worrying is that their website mentions that they intimate applicants of the decision date in advance (which they haven't done). So we may not even get decisions today.

Unsure, but someone posted on a 2021 thread that they emailed the adcom and received a response stating that decisions would be released on 15th Feb. Should've done this a few days ago, won't help now haha

The forum of last year indicates that UChicago did not do that (at least not to all applicants in - they indeed responded to individual questions) last year either.

I sent them an email on a separate matter and they replied to me that decisions would be communicated "on" Feb 15th. I'm not sure whether this was part of their standard reply. I've also seen other communications from them that read "on or around".

Oh this is helpful! I doubt they would remove the "around" unless they were sure. So we should expect. It is around 9 am now in Chicago, so maybe in the next 3-4 hrs.

Guys calm down, it´s still 8:30 in Chicago, last year they released decisions at 12:30, so there´s still plenty of time. Besides, unless something unusual would happen this year, there are no reasons to believe that decisions will delay. Today will be the day.
