Anyone? Is certification a requisite in general or only if specified?
Thank you

VERT,
I sent only official translations prepared by a public-sworn translation and they were accepted... Moreover: I sent it only once, to LSAC, which has processed it and distributed to the law schools I applied to.
Best wishes,
Gustavo

This is a common question among those who need official documents translated. In most cases, in order for documents to be accepted, they must be certified. Certifications can either be provided by,
A) a certified translator or
B) a translation agency
Some colleges and universities require the certified translation to be notarized. It is important to contact the institution to understand their requirements. In many cases, when going from one country to another, an Apostille is required, we have found that most European universities require the Apostille.
Certified translations to be presented in African or Middle Eastern countries may need to be certified by the U.S. Department of State and the countrys consulate.

Thank you all for the responses.
I have sent certified translations of the transcripts. I sent everything to LSAC and they said everything is OK.
