Thanks all. I got the offer without any phone interview. I am wondering does anyone know when stanford will comment on scholarship? Do you reckon they will tell us with the admissions package? Thanks!

No news from the corporate program?

No news from the corporate program?
I'm also applying for the CG program and haven't received any news. I believe we have heard people being accepted to the LST and SPILS program.
I'm living in Jakarta, Indonesia (GMT +7) and so I imagine the e-mail will come during our sleeping hours here. As such, I'm sleep deprived these days as have been waking up in the AMs to check my phone for SLS emails.
This waiting game is painful.
But at the same time I'm happy to be experiencing this with all of you hopefuls across the globe :)
The last time I was waiting for this sort of news was 15 years ago. It was for the results for a national-wide test to get into a top Indonesian university.
Best of luck to all of us.

Does anygbody has an idea about what chance is there of someone being admitted or rejected after having an interview with stanford fellow?
Posted Mar 10, 2015 14:53
I received a phone call yesterday (15:00pm, Palo Alto/California and 19:00pm, Santiago/Chile) from Mrs. Vanessa Casado-Pérez, teaching fellow of the LL.M. in Environmental Law & Policy program. I applied to the SPILS program in first place and also to the LL.M. in Evironmental Law. She asked me about my SPILS thesis project (Water Law), future goals and why I prefer the SPILS rather than the LL.M. in environmental law. Also she told me about the structure of the LL.M. program and the different tracks that you may pursue. She was very nice and friendly and she gave me her email address for any further questions (I was on the street when she first called me and I requested her to call me back in 30 minutes and she did it).
Also she suggested me to take one month of english training on early july to warm up before the program starts.
She will let me know about the results by the end of the week.
I am a 33 years old lawyer from Chile and Fulbright Scholar.
Cheers!

Congrats Javier! What's your TOEFL score if I may ask?
Posted Mar 10, 2015 15:30
Hey Jack! Sure, I applied with a 97 TOEFL. My move was a little risky but I had heard about people being accepted with 5 points bellow the minimum and I was familiar with the 6 weeks english program that Stanford offers before the LL.M.
English is an important part of your application but if you have a strong background and experience, english comes in second place.
Regards,
Javier

Thank you for your quick reply Javier. You must have a great resume as getting into SLS is extremely hard. As far as I know, stanford has the lowest acceptance rate after YLS. Congrats!
