San Diego Tax?

I am seriously considering applying to San Diego's tax program. I am just wondering if anyone had information about the program.......how well-known is the program?,,,,,,how hard is it to get accepted in the program?.....is it worth the time and money?

Thanks in advance!

It's worth it if you want to practice in San Diego. From what I gather, it's mostly a regional school and the people at admissions said that most graduates end up staying in San Diego, which could be by choice given that it is San Diego. Admissions said that for the most part top half get in. I think acceptance is in large part based on your tax grades at USD.

I agree with M&A. The only reason to not go to one of the top three programs is that you intend to practice locally. My own sense of the LLM is for employment with the Service. You might want to contact them and see if they weigh the programs differently for employment. I would think they might. LLMs outside of the top programs are pretty speculative and should probably be avoided unless you are just enamored with having LLM behind your JD. Of course that doesn't mean competence so be careful how you wear it.
