Congrats to you and Roxy for your admission to NYU and the scholarship!! Would you mind telling us if anything changed on your page before you got the email?

I'm still left with no news...

Well, I checked my status on the morning (about 8 hours ago) and was the same as always, then I haven´t checked it again because I was sure that I wouldn't make it. I received the e-mail 3 hours ago. Now, both my status and my requirement list are blank.

Did you applied for the scholarship or nyu granted it just because? ..I mean of course for your academic merits..

Just to let you guys know, I just declined my offer from NYU.

Good luck!

I'm new to this website. I just meant to let those waitlisted know that I'm going to decline NYU's Traditional LLM offer in the next few days. Good luck!

Hi all,

Congrats to all admitted students!

For people who received their admissions on (or around) March 5, could you tell me what is your deadline to answer?

Thank you very much!

Hi!
Thanks!
I checked yesterday morning and the requirements list was still there, but now my list and status are blank.
Btw, do you have any idea how many people enroll each year to NYU programs (overall)?
Good luck for those who are still waiting, it may be a good sign.

i'll be turning down my offer today.

funny thing is, i can't see any option to do that on the "admitted students" page. they don't handle refusal well, it seems - pre-emptively ignoring it ;)

anyone know where i'd find such an option? i don't want to just let the deadline pass, i feel that'd be kind of rude. especially since i might re-apply next year. might write them an e-mail, i guess.

In your admission package there is a form which you can use to either enroll or decline. I guess sending that as a pdf would also work.

If you are thinking about re-applying, why don't you ask for deferral?

in the deferral, I usually have to guarantee that I'm not applying to any other schools, which I can't (in part because i personally might apply for others, in part because i'll also have to re-apply for some funding options, and some of them like to have a say in where you're going). couple that with the deposit, and I'm afraid I'm better off re-applying.

Makes sense. Good luck for next year and hopefully your plans will work out, whatever they might be year from now :)

^ thanks. i hope so to. wasn't easy to turn the offer(s) down, very hard actually; but then again, i'm saving a ton of money ;) but seriously - i got assigned to a big-ish... well, huge-ish project. while it doesn't mean a lot of money, it's a high profile thing, and i just could not possibly turn that option down. so whatever happens, i'm okay with my decision. i think. ;)

Yes, but almost half are domestic applicants for the LLM in tax. But even though is a big figure.. and there are people who withdraw in favour of HLS, CLS etc.. so "waitisted" have a real shot. Good luck to everyone! :)
