Northwestern v. UTA

MmKoo

Hi, all. I'm an international LLM student and I've been planning to go to UTA 2018 fall program. Northwestern put me on the waiting list in March and finally give me the offer today. NW was very attractive to me mainly because of its ranking. Considering that the winter in Chicago is less pleasant than in Austin, and the price is higher, I'm wondering if I should accept NW's offer.

BTW, I know that it's very difficult for an international LLM student to get employed in US, so I probably will work in my country after graduation.

Thank you for any information.

Yes, typically Northwestern is ranked a bit better than UTA. That's speaking pretty generically though and I'd imagine your decision would depend on your goals and what you'd want to study. For instance if you wanted to study Energy Law I'd go with Texas.
