I am a U.S. attorney with tax background, but I am looking to change my area of practice. For the first 3 years out of law school, I was part of a big 4 accounting firm doing tax/tax consulting, and I didn't enjoy it. So I went onto a law firm (in Asia) and practiced tax for 2 years. Although I did a lot of local law here, I still had to keep up with the U.S. tax rules.

After 5 years, I feel like tax is not my passion and it never was. I want to get out before it's too late. I am looking to get my LL.M but (1) I am not sure if it's worth it (meaning, I am not sure if getting an LL.M will be an easier route to change area of practice), and (2) if I will be spending more money on school, I should find an area that's definitely valuable for the money I spend - so the area must be practical enough.

What area of law in LL.M should I consider?
I thought of International Trade since my work consist of tax and customs and I did enjoy the customs work I did.

Anything else?
