Hey everyone!!
I am starting this board to keep updates about Notre Dame's applications (human rights LLM) for this year. Has anyone received any updates or news about it? I just know that apparently the University will start sending initial results around March 22. Hope everyone gets in.

Hey :)
Great idea to get a thread going about this. I've applied and my application went complete in October/November. I'm a Fulbright Scholar though so my process is a little different. I think there will be a delay in me hearing (e.g. my other schools released decisions a week or more ago but I have to wait for my admission/rejection until I'm told by Fulbright!) so not sure how much use my info is.
From previous years, it appears decisions arrive 18th-22nd March so a couple of weeks left yet.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info!!
So probably we'll get some notice soon. Anyway, I'm just applying to Notre Dame (me and my wife!) so my hopes limit to their answer. I see you already got into really good schools. Is ND in your top ones?

Thanks for your kind words RE my admissions so far. I'm very excited about UCLA but am still keen to hear back from the other schools. As yet I don't really have a concrete ranking of my schools but the programme at Notre Dame is very good and well-respected so I'm hoping to get admitted to have that option. Are you and your wife doing the same programme? I hope you both get what you want!

Hi everyone,
I am too waiting for admission decision from Notre Dame for their LL.M in Human Rights. So far I haven't received any information about admission or rejection. I am too a Fulbright candidate and so far I have received admissions from two other schools: American University Washington College of Law as well as University of Pittsburgh School of Law; however, I am more interested and looking forward to Notre Dame's admission, hopefully!
Good luck to everyone and keep us posted if you receive any new information from ND.

@kushtrimp - congrats on your admissions so far. I've been admitted to American and to UCLA. Did you get financial aid from any of them? Feel free to private message me if you want, or whatever you are comfortable with discussing 'in public'!
Best of luck for ND.

Hi all the best good guys.I was late in applying I failed to meet the deadline on 1st February.I was later surprised when I saw on 5th March that they had extended the deadline to 15th February and they had said funds and scholarships were still available.I never got to understand reason behind extending the deadline? Is it possible that they received very few applications or they had an increased budget to admit a higher number of students this year? I guess I will apply next year and once again all the best those who have applied may you all get favourable results.

Hello Delta4. Too bad you didn't apply. I certainly don't know why Notre Dame extended the deadline to apply for the LLM, I only have the impression that they are very open in encouraging people to do so, and also the University is quite generous in supporting this particular program (don't know if this makes any sense). Anyway, good luck to you on further plans. The best to everyone else in this week. Hope we all get very good news soon and can eventually meet next august.

Dear Alex,
I am sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing your work experience and educational background. Perhaps you and your wife should apply for the Erasmus programmes.
Best,
Anoshay

Hi everyone,
Alex I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been admitted, I'm sure there are planty of other opportunities for you out there.
I received yesterday my admission decision which is positive -- I was admitted to ND. The decision is dated 16th of March, but because I'm with Fulbright it had to go through two other persons and institutions until it reached me.
Anyway, I hope all of you who are still waiting for the decisions of admissions to be positive.
Best,
Kushtrim

Hello Anoshay. About my background I'm 32 years old. I finished law school in 2002, and I got a masters degree in tax and corporate law in 2008. During law school I worked at an organization that gave free legal advice to people that couldn't pay it. After that my entire career has been at Mexico's Federal Judiciary Branch. I've served there for the last ten and a half years of which eight have been as a law clerk in a federal court of appeals. The reason to pursue the LLM in human rights was (among other things), my country's recent constitutional amendments in that field, which involves strong commitment and participation from the justice system. Finally I've been teaching (for free because my public service forbids me to charge for it) mexican constitutional and tax law in a couple of universities in Mexico for four years. So I guess my professional background wasn't that strongly related to human rights or activism in that field.
Anyway, hope that does it. About the Erasmus program, what's that? I am not familiar with it, but I'll appreciate any info. The best to you.

Hi Anoshay! I'm still waiting as well.
I'll send you a PM as soon as I get some info from ND.
I don't know how to interpret the lack of news.... but you know what they say : "no news, good news..."
Keep it up & good luck to all!
Cheers!
