Law School Reports - Delay

Hi guys, I am currently applying for admission to several US law schools. I have sent all the materials, nailed the TOEFL, my Letters of Recommendation have been recieved by the LSAC and today I submitted all my online applications and payed the necessary fees.

My only concern is the following: My transcripts are still under review by the AACRAO. Nevertheless, the law schools have already requested my law school reports. Now my question is if LSAC will now just wait until evaluation by the AACRAO is completed and then send my report? Or do I have to actively do anything else once the evaluation is done?

This is not supposed to be a problem. Schools know the AACRAO review takes time, but yours should be ready in a few days and in enough time for them to evaluate your application.

I sent my application to Georgetown with one transcript pending the AACRAO review on the last day for Early Action. A few days later it was completed and LSAC just sent a new report.

Oh, okay. How do I know in general wheather LSAC has already sent out the law school reports? My account says that all the law schools I applied to requested a report today. Does the status change once a law school report is sent. I actually thought LSAC would only send out law school reports when they are complete, ergo only if the evaluation is finished....

They keep record of reports sent to schools in the "Law School Reports" section. You can check this up there.

You are probably going to have an "Initial Report" and later an updated version with information on the missing transcript.

It depends - some law schools accept incomplete ones, others require all materials to be there before they are sent. It took me ages to figure out how to see what has been sent or not but like taxcandidate says, there is a place to check what has been sent to each school in the 'law school reports' section. You can also see the International Credential Analysis done by AACRAO by going to that page.

Hey,
my university sent my transcript to LSAC three weeks ago and they received it approximately 2 weeks ago, but it's still not processed.
Could you tell me if this is normal or do I have to be worried about it?
I get that LSAC has a lot of work to do in December, but I think it's extremely annoying that you have to pay hundreds of Dollars for a service that is so slow.

In addition to everything my report was wrong. My GPA was calculated as 0.6 lower than the actual one. They said that the only way to have a corrected one was that my school sent an updated transcript with the official GPA. In the meantime, the schools received a wrong report...I really don't know how they get away with this, after we paid $ 220 + $30 per school for this service.

From my experience, just call them very nicely and ask them for an update. My transcript was unprocessed for 4 weeks after receipt so I called, and it was processed within 30 minutes and the report evaluation completed in 2-3 days after that.

LSAC has finally processed my transcript.
But in my file it now says 'Doc class: Transcript Translation Only'
Could anybody please explain to me what this means?
Does it mean that LSAC hasn't evaluated my transcript yet and that they just translated it?

This means that LSAC only processed your transcript translation (for whatever reason). Unfortunately, this typically means that your transcripts are not yet complete and need to be resubmitted. I have had this problem also once, but received an email with a detailed explanation for the reason.
