Hello~ I'm Ben from Korea who's currently studying at Fudan University, School of Law.
I used to study in CA but I somehow got into Chinese University.
Long story short, I wasn't able to keep my GPA up, due to multiple circumstances (If you want to know, I'm totally fine with telling you guys :D )
I got 2.1/4.0 GPA,,, with this devastating grades, Is there any possibility of me getting accepted in any LLM program in NY?

Have you published? Having published in journals etc., or having solid work experience otherwise, can help correct for low GPAs.

I think it's a hard sell for many of the top programs, but other stronger aspects of your profile could go a long way. The schools will basically see a low GPA as a red flag and be looking for some other indication that you could get by in a stressful graduate-level course.

Albeit it's already been 5 years,,,, thank you so much for responding to my message. At that time, I was feeling very desperate about my GPA.. and your words had definitely motivated me to push forward. As you mentioned, it was indeed challenging to enroll in renowned courses (Waseda, Keio). With your words in mind, I tried many things, I focused on Humanitarian Law, the topic of my graduation thesis, and gained practical experience by working in fields such as Rehabilitation Centers for the Disabled and Nursing Homes for the Elderly to understand the practical procedures. These experiences helped me to get accepted at Temple University in Tokyo, however, due to tuition costs, I decided to pursue MBA-IB instead (turns out law schools are far more expensive than I thoguht! haha).

Once again, thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I sincerely hope that more people will find their paths through trial and error, shaping their experiences into valuable expertise.
