HLS & YLS for US Atty

Hello,

Am curious whether an American JD who has been practicing law for several years, has extensive federal clerkship experience (both trial court and appellate court levels), and several publications, has a strong opportunity for admission to an LLM at HLS and/or YLS. Interested in academia. At this stage in my professional career, does an LLM even add anything? Will my experience be viewed negatively by the admissions committee(s), particularly since I have already published? Thanks for your input!

I have similar stats as you and applied to both programs. Are you currently an AUSA? If so, I'd be interested in hearing about how you landed that job if you'd be willing to share! Thanks!
