Hey guys.... I am applying for scholarships in law schools to be able to go for an LLM. One of these scholarships is more need based but takes academic achievements into consideration. I am only 25 and I am afraid Id be competing with much more experienced people.

If I am the first candidate to apply for the scholarship, will this raise my chances of getting it? Is a 130,000 $ loan (parents' one) plus not having had a paid job for 3 years good enough to show high financial need? What should I say/not say in my application?

Any tips/hints on how to get these scholarships and what to do/not do is greatly appreciated.
