Health Care?

Anyone know if NYU and other programs pay for student's health insurance while enrolled?

I figure if you're paying 40k it should be included.

no...i don't think so....$40, 109 is only the tuition fees for this year's study at NYU. they have separately mentioned the health insurance costs in the break up which was circulated with the admissions material...for the acad year 2005-06 it was $ 1,615.

It is pretty common to have to pay for your own health insurance. It probably shouldn't be too expensive though? Depends on where you come from. Health service (doctor, nurses etc.) on campus is usually free.
