wow...has it really begun? congrats to the admitted, anyway...btw, can I ask whether it was e-mail, post mail, courier, phone call, or just a message from acquaintances at HLS?

I'm a bit skeptical given Harvard's email that it would not be finalizing decisions until next week...

Did she call the school or did the school call her?
Also, did she obtain any financial aid?

So should we call today?

Well, of course the news of an admission from Harvard at this point may sound strange. They specifically said that there would be no early decisions and that we would receive our decisions only by mail (not e-mail), starting next week.
Nevertheless, browsing this board ( http://www.llm-guide.com/board/1347/1 ), Ive found out that last year people were facing the same problem. Harvard said that they would mail (not e-mail) decisions beginning March 25 (it was March 15 before). But people started to receive decisions earlier (March 19, I think, even by e-mail a little bit later). Therefore, we cannot trust every word in their last e-mail and the fact is: people may be receiving acceptances earlier, just as last year.

the OP is clearly flame. consider time of post and phrase "this morning"...makes no sense. unless someone at harvard is manning the phones 24 hours a day, this is clearly bulls**t.

It might not be a good idea to annoy them. Just be patient.

Hey, Cynic, couldn't "equity" have mentioned some time that falls in the business hour of Boston on Monday?
I have a interesting question here...what time do you see in your last post, Cynic? Is it PM 10:41 that appears in your browser? I'm in Seoul (same with Tokyo standard time) and my browser shows the time PM 10:41...If you have different time in your browser, the time of the post appears in this page may be different depending on the region where we are logging in this website...

i guess that's possible ... but i reserve the right to remain suspicious ... there's just something abt the wording of those posts that doesn't sit well with me.

Well, my friend could be in any place of the world. Don't assume anything is incorrect unless you have enough evidence. To be a lawyer (either an attorney, judge or procurator), we must be very cautious about our words. By the way, wish u all luck with your application to Harvard.

The only concern is Harvad eating its words...and this is not the first time.

Dear equity,
Would you kindly tell us some details? Where is your friend from? and how did she learn about her admission?
Sorry these are asked in the thread already but you did not answer. Please understand that most of us are so nervous about the decision and we dont mean to be rude.
Thanks again!

a friend of mine called H two days ago and, without disclosing her name (probably to avoid being annoyingly over-pressing), made a general query as regards the timing of final decisions/notices. and the reponse she got pretty much mirrored the "29th" statements in the email that many people here have already recieved.
although there is always possibility of exceptions which might even have already taken place in this case, the details we have available are too little to be able to prove the authenticity.
