For those who are facing the Columbia's deadline ending today: have you already paid the USD 500 deposit, or are you waiting till the end of the day in the hope that Harvard will send out decisions today?
Does anyone know if paying the deposit to book a place at Columbia could have an impact on Harvard's decision?

will the acceptance emails be sent before the rejection emails?

Typically, that's what happens.

Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promptly and will be able to log in to a password-protected site to check whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list.
this what embark says. so i guess all decisions will be sent together

But usually what happens is that they send results as they go. I don't know if we can safely assume that, by now, Harvard has reviewed and evaluated all application materials, from all candidates to its Graduate program.
It certainly says that, once decisions have been reached, you'll receive a link to Embark. But the "decisions" in that sentence may not mean the entirety of decisions, but "decisions regarding admissions", "decisions regarding rejections" and so forth.

I applied last year, and have again (last shot)..and last year it certainly seemed, based on people posting on here, that all of the emails were sent out at the same time
:)

i wonder at what time of the day they will start sending out the decisions "by link" or "e-mail".
Posted Mar 19, 2012 15:24
Well last year I got mine before I woke up (like 6-7am UK time)..

Hi all, hope this helps:
I checked the thread from last year and the year before and this is what I found out:
Monday, March 21, 2011: Released all decisions at 12:00AM EST (that's on Sunday night, beginning of Monday)
Monday, March 22, 2010: Released all decisions at 4:00PM EST
I hope they do it today, and not on the 26.

till how far we would have to stretch the interpretation of the word "mid-march" if we are to justify releasing admissions on 26th March.
Posted Mar 19, 2012 15:36
It actually says "Late-" march on the QnA page!
Posted Mar 19, 2012 15:36
What about in years before? Was it always on a Monday? Or in some years it was on Tuesday, or Wednesday?
It just seems to me that, since Harvard promised results by the end of March, the 19th is a little too early. But I could be so wrong, and I hope I am.

Hey everyone - been following this thread, I too applied to the Harvard LLM program (it was actually the only school I applied to - kicking myself over that right now...)
I just called them, they said they were hoping to release decisions this week but were as yet unsure of the day. I'm facing a deadline from a job, but since that deadline is still next week I don't think it will help hurry the wait. The waiting is killing meeeee.

Hi all, hope this helps:This suggests a time is fixed in advance for the automated emails -- probably on the hour. Question is what hour :P
