Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!

I submitted all required documents by Feb15th and my application just became complete on Friday March 28. So hopefully its not too late!?! and a (positive) decision will be made soon but it seems a lot of people have already been accepted... Is anyone else out there waiting on a decision still? I am starting to obsess :)

My application was complete a month before yours and I am still waiting as well

I called Georgetown last week and I was told I would recieve something by the end of this week

If you haven't been rejected, you still have a chance.

But, someone I know recently got a rejection letter from GT and someone else here recently said they did AND someone on another forum as well so rejection letters are going around and being told I would recieve something worries me

What? No....you are supposed to find out either way through mail

The 1-2 here that said they found out through email were the first 1-2 I had ever heard finding out from GT through email and in the email it said they should have already gotten the acceptance package

Hi everyone,

I am in the same situation. My status is "decision" but I did not receive anything. I called them yesterday, saying that I need to pays deposits elsewhere next week, and they say I would receive the answer by middle of next week (great!...does not help for avoiding paying the deposit)...

The thing is I am dying to wait (GT is from far my first choice), and I am thinking that if haven't received an email then I am obviously rejected :(
Can someone confirm that please? (I have read that people got admission emails, and some other say that even if admitted, you will be contacted by postmail..??????????)

Plus, I don't get the reason why they don't send you promptly the answer if the Committe has reached a decision...

Hi,

Your post is encouraging, as my status is decision and I haven't received anything. But are you sure that the admitted students get informed by post?
And don't you think it's bad sign if they did not want to give me the decision on phone????
By the way: are you going to GT? If so, congratulatios :D

You'll be informed by post first and then receive an e-mail. I received the e-mail a day or two after the admission letter (I live in Europe).

I've declined my offer, so I hope you'll receive and admission letter soon!

Good luck!

the email didn't come through until four days later after my status turned to Decision. Don't worry!

Desiree,

I did the early application, in December. Anyway, I think you can find some calmless in my experience:

It was Friday when my application status turned to "Decision". I received the e-mail in the following Thursday, almost one week later!!!

Im from Brazil. I graduated in 2002 from my Law School (LLB) and since then I'm working in the Tax Area of a Big Brazilian Law Firm. I'm going to attend the LLM. in Taxation.

Should be in Washington D.C. on July 13th, because I will take the Foudations classes.

Good Lucky!!! See you all in Washington!!!

I got into Georgetown early decision, but here was how the timing worked for me:

Status went to decision
72 hours later I could log into the admitted students website (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/admissions/admitted/index.cfm)
About four days after my status went to decision, I received the UPS package (I am a domestic student though)
Maybe two weeks after my status went to decision, I got the welcome e-mail.

So, if your status has gone to decision, wait a few days and then try to log onto the admitted students website. Until then, don't worry, and good luck!

taxnerd, were you able to log onto admitted website with your applicating student username and password at this time?

The problem for me is....I am being "held" so a month ago my application went to "decision" but their "decision" was to put me on hold and that has never changed so I have been waiting for a month looking in the mail because the web-site is no longer useful to me

I was told I should expect something by the end of this week and I can't log onto the site so I guess I am rejected

LinkedS, I think you still have a chance. If you're admitted, you can log onto the website three days after they actually make the decision. So, they could make the decision Friday, and you wouldn't be able to log onto the site until Monday.

And Hoang, yes, I logged onto the admitted students site using the same username and password I used for the online application.
