Hello! I am studying in Pakistan,doing a bachelor's program of 5 years in LLb also I,am an american citizen but,still studying in Pakistan with my family.Now my parents are giving 2 options either to go back to US and complete a JD there or either,complete my studies here in Pakistan finish my LLb and then go back to US and get admission in LLM and then pass the bar exam. Can anyone tell me what to do I am totally confused

If you want to work in the US, doing a JD and then the bar exam would most likely be the best route.

The JD is a tried-and-true recruiting funnel for law firms. The LLM not so much, as it's often used by international students who return to their home countries after they graduate.
