HLS is spreading its admission letters. Congratulations to all admitted students, including myself. :)
I know the financial aid issue is not interesting to any of us, but since it's very important for me, I do wish to get more background information from you. For Harvard, what is the coverage of financial aid (or, what percent of the admitted students will have financial aid)? And, what is the average amount of financial aid?
Thanks for any information!

I'm having the same problem, since I have to decide between Stanford and Harvard (a real toughi). I'm seeking further specialization in IP Law and am sure that Stanford is the top choice. However, they don't give any financial help. On the other hand, Harvard usually does, in one way or another (I heard that if you apply for financial aid and justify your position -which is my case-, you may be awarded anything ranging from USD $5 k- to a full or near full tuition waiver). Harvard also co-signs loans with citibank at great interest rates (3.2% annual or something of the sort). I haven't heard anyone say something regarding Stanford. Anyway, that's all I've heard, but would certainly love to hear other points of view. Best and congrats, shortstop.

Asterion is right - HLS is not the most generous institution, but it offers some kind of fin. aid and loans to all LL.M. students.

Can I ask what you wrote in your application for financial aid? I am concerned that if I wrote that I can cover 100% of the fees via 60% personal savings and 40% domestic loan, I will not be offered either financial aid or a discounted loan.

Many students receive something like half-scholarship / half-loan packages. 3.2% might be a bit optimistic, though, given present interest rates.
