Cornell - waiting list any hopes?

I've just got an email from cornell saying that I was put on its waitng list. So, my question is whether I still have a chance to get into cornell and what can I do to increase the posibility to get an offer. Does anyone have the same experience last year? Please help. Many thanks.

Hi, high chance I will not accept my offer, and many others will be in a similar boat I'm sure! So depending how high up on the list you are, you could well receive an offer...

Hey!

Don't give up! Last year UCLA waitlisted me and I got an admission later on!

I would recommend you send them a letter of continued interest by march/april (check if they accept it). That's what I did for UCLA.
