Columbia Financial Aid

ElS

Hi all.
I've been admited to CLS and submitted the deposit today. However, I've been notified that I won't receive any financial aid. Do any of you know whether financial aid decisions change as the final student body forms? I guess that people who were offered tuition waivers from CLS also got them from other places ... so potentially as people reserver their places elsewhere, financial aid funds may become available for others...
does anybody know if this assumption is correct?

Thnx

Hi EIS,
I haven't heard anything about financial aid and I hope something would come along although I know that CLS is very strict in granting aid.
By the way I think it is possible that if funds become available they will make it available to admitted students who requested it.

Yes, it's possible that financial aid may become available later on. I was offered a US$20k tuition waiver but I ended up not accepting Columbia's offer as the balance was still more than I could afford. The US$20k should presumably now be available for other students.
