Hey there, I was admitted to both Boston uni and Washington Uni at St.Louis. It's time to decide which one to go. But it seems I can be wrong for choosing either. They're ranked about the same. And BU's total expense is just $3000 more expensive than WUSTL. For location concern, Boston is much better than St.Louis. However, WUSTL allows it's LLM students to transfer to their JD program, which BU doest.
Any thoughts about the choice? Cheers!
BU or WUSTL??

I personally prefer WUSTL. They take very good care of international students. Although I might reject thei offer, however, I have very good impression during the communication with the LLM. Program Director. If you have JD in mind, then definitely WUSTL, it's the easiest in the US among top 30 law schools.
For LLM only, cost is another consideration. Tuition and living expense together, BU would cost at least 10K more. I personally dont think it worths that much.
But I wont deny that Boston is a lovely city. If financial concern is not an issue. BU is good at corprate law, you wont go wrong to either one. Just a matter of personal preference.
Anyway, congrats on admissions and best of lucks:)

Thx very much Boat and Richard. ya...I think Michelle is really nice! For JD reason, I may choose WUSTL to go. Anyone will go to St.Louis as well?

Hey Fisher,
Are you sure you could successfully transfer to JD program? I mean, it must be highly competitive. There are tons of LL.M. students wishing to transfer to JD without taking LSAT. I think you may also take your chance into account. If you have tiny chance to transfer, than is WUSTL still worthy of your attence?

It's relatively very very easy to transfer to JD at WUSTL, this is for certain.
JD aside, I dont think WUSTL would be any worse than BU. As a matter of fact, their 2007 US News ranking is better. (I know ranking doesnt mean too much, and they are actually close) My point is WUSTL is a good law school and definitely worths going, JD or not.

I agree with Richard! Actually it is said by the admission staff that there were 25% of the LLM students successfully transferred to JD last year. And half of them were offered financial aid. Two of them even got full ride.
Definately WUSTL is a good law school and one of the top US national universities (Rank 11 by USNWR), although I think it is a bit overrated by USNWR. Anyways, Im going there and hope it worth all my money and time!
Thx for all your attention & help!
