Hi all, I just figured that we might need a thread to share information for all of us who are waitlisted at Berkeley.

Let's share in this thread any information you might know, what quartile you are in and whether offer of admission to waitlist students are released. We are all anxious to hear back from Berkeley and here is the place to let others know you are not alone.

I have been placed in the first quartile since March and have not heard anything back yet.

From what I observe on the previous years, it is unlikely that we will have news before May/June 

Yes, May/June will be a good guess, It's just according to the discussion on last year's waitlist arrangement, it might start to move this week as well, hope we will get good news as soon as possible!

That's a great initiative. 
I have been placed in the second quartile and have not heard anything either.
I have even sent them mails, twice, and they've replied that they cannot expedite decisions and will get back as soon as there is an update.
Till when are you guys planning to wait for a decision??

Hello all! I am in the first quartile and still haven't heard back. I've started to wonder what they meant in their waitlist email with "as early as April" since it's almost May and from what I gather, no one on the waitlist has received an offer.

As for foreigners, I think we can wait until late May or early June considering we have to apply for visa..., for residents, i think as late as August is still fine...

According to the thread last year, waitlist start to move since 16 April right after the DDL of deposit....It is really late this year...

As far as i know, it's 15th April for UCB and 1st May for most of the rest universities.

Dear fellows, I just got admitted from the waitlist 30 minutes ago and the DDL for acceptance is May 31st, couldn‘t wait to share the good news with you guys and hope for the best for everyone!
