2 yr. JD for international students

quentin

Hi, my name is Quentin and I would like to know overall information about 2 yr. JD program for international lawyers at Northwestern U? Is anyone taking it? has anyone taken it? has anyone going to take it?
What is the most important requirement a international lawyer has to meet to get admitted?
Thanks.
Peace

Hi there ,
well i am planning to apply for the course next year.. I feel its a good option specially for an international student planning to practise and work in the USA. I guess whats important are your lsats, grades at law school etc, personal statements, recomndations etc. I guess george washington u, also offers the same course. The only apprehension is how many do they admit in a year...

You can attend almost any law school and graduate with a J.D. in less than two and a half years by attending summer school. I began law school at the University of Texas in August 1987 and graduated in December 1989 by attending summer school. What I am trying to say is that you should try to get into the best law school possible and not worry about the extra semester it would take you to graduate. Law firms look at two things when they hire new associate attorneys: The ranking of your law school and your grades.
