hello fellow llm seekers,
please help with this one, I was not among the best students of my year at the university and therefore my grades are not high enough (as I have been working full time from my first year at the university). I have at least 7 years of working experience in related fields ( in both public and private sector ) as well as the music industry and I' m also licensed to practice law . Do you think I could apply to any of the top ranked universities based on that?

I've said this before on other posts. You should apply regardless of grades... the universities always say on their websites that their minimum requirements are a first or upper second class. Anyway, all applications are assessed in its own merits. What youve got to do is write a state-of-the-art personal statement and get great recommendations. Im sure youll manage to get at least one or two offers from top UK law schools. I always tell on these threads that I too was pretty insecure about my chances but in the end it all turned out just fine. Ive been rejected by some universities but Ive also been accepted to some. I didnt have the best grades ever in my undergraduate programme either.

I agree with beicon completely. You've got nothing to lose. Just try to put your best foot forward with your personal statement and you recommendations. Good luck.
