I have been looking at practising in the UK, and I was told that I may be able to get an exemption from taking the CPE course

The relevant authority (SRA) says this:
A person who has obtained a law degree at a university overseas, where the syllabus followed in each of the foundations of legal knowledge is accepted by the SRA as being substantially equivalent to the Common Professional Examination syllabus.

I am a Australian LLB grad. I wrote to the SRA and they just gave me their standard letter, reiterating what it says above.

Can anyone shed any light on getting exempted from the CPE?
