Hi everyone! I am from Greece and just applied for The General LLM in UCl. I am wondering if it is too late... Does the field of specialization matter? In the personal Statement I said I wanted to specialize in Environmental Law. Since it isn't such a popular programme do I have more chances of getting accepted? My degree is a 6,74 out of 10. Is this an Upper Second Class? THANX FOR YOUR TIME!!!

Your application is not too late. I spoke to the admission office last summer and they told me, that I could still apply for the next term in Octobre. That was in August. So your application is certainly in time.

I applied to UCL at least one month later than an acquaintnance. However, at the end of the day, they refused his application and sent me an offer.
So I think your are in time because the application process is not based on a "first come first served" basis.

I was accepted for Environmental Law. I had 8.2 out of 10 and 8.0 in the IELTS.
Nevertheless, I find there are other issues that must be considered, such as experience in the field.
I believe your grade is on the edge, but you still have chance.

Hi people,
when do you decide on the specialisation. ?? is it possible to change from one to another specialization ?? or if not chosen then is it possible to choose at a later stage??
thanks for your inputs..

Hi Abhinav
I am from Mumbai and will be going to UCL. As far as I know you have to choose your specialisation after you go there and attend some lectures. They give you 2-4 weeks to decide on which modules you want to take up. Accordingly those modules will decide on the specialisation that you want to do. So dont worry about the specialisation till the time you go there.

hey i'm from mumbai too...
as regards the environmental law LLM does anyone have information about the most reputed envi law programs in the UK?
possibly something that compares to the US oregon programs etc?
UCL, Dundee, Kent and QM offer programs and all are reputed institutions, but can anyone guide me as to the best program for specialisation in this subject?
