I think it' a very good idea to make a team.

I'm focusing on tax law and will apply for: NYU, BU, HLS, Northwestern, ILF(Frankfurt).

What about you? Anyone else for the team?

Well, so let me introduce myself!

I'm a 26 years old lawyer from Brazil, and I have 6 years of experience as a corporate lawyer.
I graduated in 2003 and since then I have worked (as an intern) in J.P Morgan Bank and (as a lawyer) in Nokia and Huawei.
Now I work in a big brazilian industrial conglomerate as an almost senior lawyer (more than a junior but not exactly a senior one) but I intend to do my LLM in Corporate Law. In the UK my preferences are: Oxbridge and LSE. I'll also try the KCL and UCL but only if all the other aplications fail.
It's likely that send some applications to US schools too (Harvard, Stanford, NYU, Columbia) but prices are definitely frightening.
I have never tried the Toefl nor the Ielts but I'll be working on it the next months. If everything goes right, my applications will be submitted as soon as possible.
I wish all teh best for all of us.

I hope lots of international students will join us.

First question: when does the application process start in the US? (I mean for NYU or Harvard for exemple)

thanks

Dear Prospective LLMs,
If any of you are interested in competition law or maritime law City Law School is offering a dedicated programme which allows students to take up to four courses on competition law or Maritime Law from September 2006.

The competition courses include competition (a general module); international cartels; mergers and comparative antitrust. The maritime courses include Marine Insurance, Admiralty, Carriage of Goods by Sea and World Trade.
In both we will have practitioners teaching alongside the academics. Another unique feature of the course is that we are running a City Insider Programme giving you an inside view as to how the City works.
