MCT - preparation course?

I read a post from one user recommending not spending money for a MCT prep course. Rather to instead simply save that money for OSCE prep. What are the various opinions on this? As both time and money are valuable I would like to be cost effective, but I certainly want to be sucessful on the first attempt.
