LSE LLM Applications 2023-2024

Alex2022

Hi everyone!

I’m waiting for the result of my application. Yesterday my document status changed to “received”. Anyone knows how long takes LSE to respond after the documents change to that status?

Thank you in advance!

I think it varies a lot. I received a final decision the day after the status changed. 1f642

Great, thank you so much!

Hi guys, do you know whether you need to pay a tuition fee deposit when accepting LSE's offer? I couldn't find anything.

https://www.lse.ac.uk/study-at-lse/Graduate/Offer-holders/PDFs/20-0503-Graduate-Offer-Welcome-Pack-Large.pdf says that most don't require a deposit. If LLM were an exception it would be included in the offer email.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the Graduate Financial Support Application? When I click on the link, I always get a 503 gateway error...

Did you find a solution for this? Mine is now doing the same. 1f9d0

Does anyone know if there's a specific date on which one has to decide whether to accept or reject an offer? I cannot identify such a date in the acceptance e-mail or the graduate offer pack...

Edit: in the offer e-mail, it says: "Please try to respond within 6 weeks of receiving your offer."

According to the LSE application system, applications for the 2023/24 academic year will open on 14 Oct.

Thought it would be nice if there could be a forum for all potential applicants to discuss and ask questions about the application, the school, and the programme. (And of course, to share the nervous feelings when waiting for the results!!)

P.S. When do you guys plan to apply?

Hey guys
I made this whatsapp group for everyone who applied to LSE, and would like to connect/further enquire. Whether you've got an offer, waitlist, or are planning to apply, feel free to join it.

Hi there - any clarity on the below? My 6 weeks are ending on March. 7, 2023 - still waiting to hear from other universities.

I haven't found a specific deadline either so maybe it's just these 6 weeks. However, considering that LSE's LL.M programme doesn't require a deposit, I don't think there should be a problem with you accepting the offer and withdrawing in late March/early April if you get an offer from a different university that's more of your priority. They send offers to more people than there are places available because they already expect some of them will withdraw after results from Oxbridge (for example) get released.

At least that's what I've been told!

If I recall correctly it just kind of happened gradually - not even sure if they were all "received" before I got the offer because one of the conditions was that I provide them with a copy of my transcript as they didn't like the initial one.
