LLM HUMAN RIGHTS

I am keen to take up a Masters in Human Rights Law. I don't intend to take up bar exam and be lawyer. What kind of career prospects will I have with this masters degree?

There are plenty of carreers possible. There are many human rights related jobs in NGOs, international organisations, or with states. This includes fundrasising, advocacy, communication, researcher, lawyer (writting legal documents, but not going before a court), administrator... that all need a solid background in human rights law, but not necessarily to be a practitioner. Actually, most jobs in the human rights field do not require you to be a qualified lawer.

I am a qualified attorney but have spent the last 1 year and more working for a Non profit org as a reseracher.Iam heading to do my LLM so that I can take up postions that involve advocacy work, drafting of legal opinions for International orgs or being a Humaniterian Aid.The options are endless especially as these days to get into a huge interntaional org..having a Master's is a priority so you can't go wrong with an LLM.
