Some honest advice...
Do not come to Sheffield. They don't have separate modules for their LLM programmes and the teaching and marking here is crap. They are hugely underfunded.

I agree...Sheffield law is horrible. Dont waste your time. Go to Manchester of Leeds. All the good professors have left. The teaching is a joke as well.

Any other views on the LLM at Sheffield?

Hi
As the Law School at Sheffield this is obviously biased. We are very proud of our reputation in International and European Law. We have in recent years had some small turnover in professorial staff but this has not affected the quality of our teaching or our reputation as a research leader in the field.
We are currently involved in several large research projects including Priv War looking at the privatisation of war and Justis looking at the Fear of Crime. In international and european law we are involved in many smaller projects including work on sustainable development; the regulation of biotechnologies in Europe as well as moral responsibility and the politics of democracy promotion.
Please feel free to get in touch with us for more details about our programme and Sheffield as a whole. Sheffield is considered one of the best universities for students, we have a great union and our library recently voted the best in the country by students.

Thank you for your email.
I have actually applied to the LLM (entry 2011) and am still awating for a response of my application.
I know it is too early but other schools have replied to me as to the 2011 entry.
I know that the deparment is well regarded and that is why I applied!
Thanks!
