Hi all:
I have received an unconditional offer from CEPMLP to pursue LLM in Mineral laws and policy but i am still in a fix... investing so much with little assurance of returns is frightening...can anyone inform me on its job prospects?

Hi. I'm in a similar dilemma. The UK economy is not at it's best so worried it's a lot of money to spend with little assurance. I am a UK permanent resident.

I think you would get a good job in that area but not in the UK.
The UK is saturated and you will find that getting jobs in those areas say in the Middle east, Asia and even South America would be a different story.

I agree. If you are internationally mobile, you should have no problems. Afterall, energy is the hot topic these days! Unfortunately, I'm not easily mobile cos my spouse works as well...

Yes, it is accepted that UK firms and companies always have and now more than even favour their own nationals.
There are other economies and other countries that will very much welcome qualifications like yours not to mention the financial benefits associated with it.

many many thanks to both of you. Am much relieved!!
Am not married, have no intentions of getting married for a couple of years, and am willing to go just anywhere around the world in search of good opportunities and exposure in the mineral laws field.
Thank you once again.

Hi Guys,
I find your topic interesting because I am in the processes of getting my application sorted with the University of Dundee. I hoping to do Min Law & Policy via Distance Learning. I was wondering if any of you guys have done this course via distance learning and what are the biggest challenges I should be prepared for.
For your knowledge, I just started with a new job (Plant Metallurgist) and I foresee busy - hands off - day hours.
Your response will be highly appreciated.
