Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some input on this. I have a JD from a top tier US law school and am about to be sworn into the NY bar, but have had a really hard time finding a job. I did a human rights internship my second summer instead of working at a firm, and I had a B average, not bad but not great. I'm thinking about relocating to the UK and trying to get a training contract, but my first few attempts have been unsuccessful. I'm wondering how much an LLM would improve my marketability to UK firms; I would probably either take it in Maritime/Shipping Law or EU Common Market Law.
Also wondering if people have any information on how willing firms are to do work permits for non-EU people. Thanks!!!
Is an LLM a good move for me?
