Hi,

I ll be completing my LLB in a couple of years. I have plans of doing LLM in London. I have decided to Intern at any branch of the UN and in this regard i m in dilemma. I dont know whether to do this internship while am doing LLB or while LLM...??? will it increase my chances of getting in a prestigious university for LLM, if i intern during LLB?? or will that be enough if i do it while i do LLM which would help in securing good job??

I would say UN internships should be viewed as something to do while waiting for a response to job applications (because the UN explicitly states that one cannot be hired by the organisation within the next six months after the internship).

Therefore if you've already decided to do an LLM in London, you could look up the internship criteria of IMO. As far as I know this is the only UN organisation in London.

I personally doubt a UN internship during the LLB would make a significant difference to admission at English universities.

you are saying that one cant be hired by the UN within nxt six months of the internship... okay... But am not triying for any job there as of nw... I read in a post here that interning at UN will help in securing job there in future...through contacts... in this case if i decide to apply for job there after my LLM wouldnt that be good that i intern now or you think interning during LLM itself is enough... i have no problem in going to any place for an internship at the UN...
