Hi! I've just took the IDP IELTS exam today. I've heard from my friends that some Universities in England don't like IDP IELTS and would prefer British Counsil IELTS scores. For example, if you have 7.5 IDP IELTS band scores, the university will consider it as only 7 band scores. Could anyone tell me if this is true? I would like to apply for Cambride and UCL. If it is true, I will then take British Counsil IELTS exam next time.

IDP test score is definitely acceptable at UCL.They had no problem whatsoever when I submitted my IDP IL score. However, I am not aware of Cambridge's preference.
