I am a canadian student that is studying a masters in law degree in England. The overall degree classification includes: pass, pass with merit and pass with distinction.

50-59 = PASS, 60-69 = MERIT, 70+ = DISTINCTION

My marks this past year are 57,57,58,62,65,65,66,67

A masters degree classified as pass with merit needs at least 6 merits and the 15,000 word dissertation needs to be above 60. I have 5 merits. I think that If i can get a really high merit above 65 on the dissertation, then they might consider my overall degree classification as pass with merit. I clearly have 5 merits plus a pass mark of 58 close to 60. My dissertation could be above 65 in the upper merit range.

I will either get a masters degree with pass or a masters degree with pass with merit.
