Cambridge Trusts/ Clarendon Funds

Fugito

Hi guys. I'm applying to Cambridge LLM and Oxford BCL for next year. I got into Oxford BCL this year but had to pass it up so I hope I'll get in again (and new to Cambridge).

I'm interested to know when people were informed whether or not they received a Cambridge Trust or a Clarendon Fund (or any other scholarship information). I'm applying to both universities this year in order to double my chances of getting some funding and would accept one over the other based purely on any funding I might receive.

That being said, if funding information doesn't come out until after you are expected to accept, it won't help me.

Please let me know if you can!

Hi everyone

I haven't had a response to my email below, so I read a few threads from past years and it appears that the Cambridge Trust information may not come out until September of the year you are supposed to start! Obviously that would mean that you don't know if you've gotten funding until you've already accepted - or until you're already on the plane over to England!

Does anyone know anything about Clarendon please? I am only applying to both Oxford and Cambridge because funding is important to me and I want to double my chances, but if I have to wait until I virtually start there's no point.

In that case, does anyone have any views about which university you're more likely to get funding at??

I don't know about the Cam. Trusts but I got my Clarendon letter one week after my admissions letter in March. I think you would know by now. On the Oxford web I remember seeing a page on unclaimed awards (can you believe it) and clarendon alternates, but again, I think you'd have heard, but hell, it's worth a shot. As for funding opinions, I got into both but only Oxford gave me funding. Also, if you're american, oxbridge colleges make individual deals with the feds. FAFSA can be used depending on the college, use your fafsa school code search function to search oxford and cambridge and see if the college you got into has an agreement. Sorry I cant help more, Good Luck
