Hello everyone,
I am currently applying for several LLM with specialism in Information Technology Law (and related subjects such as computer law, media law, regulation of the internet...) but it is quite dificult to find information about this precise field of law.
Can someone give me some advise about which law schools in UK are particularly known for there IT Law programmes?
I have already applied for LLM in KCL, QM, LSE and UCL.
Thanks!

The choices you have made are fine if you want to study in London (the middle two have much more specialism in the field). If you're open to studying elsewhere, you should have considered Edinburgh, Essex, Strathclyde, at the very least. You should cross-check the syllabus against recognised academics in the field.

Thanks for your answer cmars.
I only applied to LLMs in London for practical reasons even if I heard about Edinburgh for IP for instance. I am trying to find the very best place in UK to study IT Law and two facts appeared to me:
- after Oxbridge (but I understood you cannot be very specialized with the Magister Juris), the best law schools in UK seem to be the ones located in London: UCL, LSE, KCL and QML. The rankings only mention their "prestige" in general so it is quite difficult to know which one is the best for each field of law. I only heard that KCL was very good for European/competition Law and UCL for IP law
- as I want to specialize in IT Law and not IP law, it is even harder to find information because it does seem to be the most popular specialization amoung future LLM'ers who are more likely to choose IP Law over IT. Maybe I am wrong and I did not manage to find the answers to my questions on this website.

Maybe start with which IT lawyers you most wish to be taught by? The list is pretty small....

If you are not dead-set on London then you should definitely check out Edinburgh's programme. The SCRIPT Centre http://www.law.ed.ac.uk/ahrc/ is engaged in lots of ground-breaking research and this translates to great opportunities for LLM students. Smita Kheria, who heads the taught programme, is constantly brining new and interesting courses to the programme.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

If your interests are that broad, then you should consider the type of topics that cover the convergence of media, IT and telecoms - for instance network neutrality. In which case: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Net-Neutrality-Towards-Co-regulatory-Solution/dp/1849660069

Have a look at the EULISP group of schools offering the EU funded programme in IT Law.
