I've just got my degree results, and have a first... but my final year average - although above 70 - is somewhat misleading as I have two low-ish 2:1s, and two strong 1sts. Will this be a problem for BCL admission?

You have a chance as long as you got a 1st. Just put in a really strong application. The other aspects would be able to cover that up.
