Though binning unqualified applications might be the general rule, one would not do justice to one's chances by blindfoldedly adhering to this view. As mentioned earlier, many exceptions are to be found where candidates with less than the requisite amount of marks but with wealthier experience and apt convincing abilities have found thier way through.
To the contrary, many applicants, otherwise sitting on the top of pile just on account of marks they have scored, have been "binned" in the initial stages itself, due to exhibited lack of other "equally valued" skills.
