Hi everyone, I'll get my graduation in Italy in 2 weeks and I'm planning to attend a LLM in USA or UK.
I'm 23, my university is not one of the best in Italy (just for rankings unfortunately, but as I understood, they think a lot with rankings). Anyway, I'm going to get best marks, with a thesis written in 1 year, obviously in the subject I'm interested in. During this year I attended an english course to get the C1 level (european framework, I know they want TOEFL or IELTS....work in progress). I've been for a week to CONSOB (like the american SEC, but in Italy), researching on my thesis.....and for a month at Columbia Uni to do the same (I just got the access to the Diamond Library).
I'd like to send my applications for the LLM which start in 2014.

Now....I'd like to know basically 3 things

- if I have chances to get in, eventually with a scholarship (I read all the requirements on various websites, but they do not tell clearly what they want), I'm little worried about the english (and I say sorry for my mistakes), but a year should be enough to get a good score in those tests (shouldn't be?)

- what is the best choice for a corporate law LLM (there are few rankings about LLM and I do not care about human rights law's statistics)?

- this is for italians only (I know you are on this forum because I've read it since I started writing my thesis ;): in december 2014 I will finish my practice and I will be able to have my bar exam, how can I organize the LLM (from semptember) with the bar exam (december)? Is better to get the bar exam first and then the LLM? In any case, the practice before the bar exam satisfies the requirement of having a work experience.

Ok, sorry for being so long, thanks for the answers :)
