hello to every one
I am a new edition for this forum. I will be joining in LLM this year. After reading the posts here I reallly got depressed, whether I am taking a right decision to go for this or not. Is there a way for me to get a part time job as a legal assistant in any law firm to get some experience before I land a better job as an attorney. And also would like to know can I start preparing for bar exam right from now? if so how can I do that?
I greatly appreciate your feedback

hellogood gosh
thanks for ur reply. I am a LLM from India and worked as an attorney( since my father was an attorney) and also worked as lecturer in India. I got computer and business degrees here . Now I am settled in usa, I preferred to go for LLM. with my experience the main problem is how to show experience in LLM , once I finish. so I would like to get some experience by working . please let me know

i imagine it would be premature to prep for the bar exam before you've even started your llm. you'll probably forget most of what you revised before the exam! as for para-legal work, i don't know how useful it is in the US, but generally it's not viewed as particularly prestigious, but i suppose it does demonstrate interest in the law..good luck with it!
